Special Lectures
ASCRS presents annual lectures, including the Binkhorst Medal Lecture, awarded in honor of Cornelius D. Binkhorst, M.D., of the Netherlands, the Charles D.Kelman Innovators Lecture, and the Manus C. Kraff Lecture on Science and Medicine.
Manus C. Kraff Lecture on Science and Medicine
ASCRS established this lecture as a forum for expanding and enriching appreciation of fields of science and medicine outside of ophthalmology. The lecture was named for Dr. Manus C. Kraff to recognize and honor him for his many contributions to the ASCRS Symposium; these contributions have broadened, enlivened, and elevated the quality of the symposium. In addition, Dr. Kraff’s curiosity and constant striving for innovation have led him to investigate aspects of medicine and science beyond those in his chosen field.
